Lwanga Fires His Former

Former SC Villa forward Charles Lwanga came off the bench to net the lone goal for Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club ( KCCA FC ) as they defeated SC Villa 1-0  at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Sunday in the Startimes Uganda Premier League.

Lwanga Charles’ 73rd minute shot from the edge of the box was all KCCA FC needed to pick three points against SC Villa at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

KCCA FC kicked off the game with a lot of intensity and Poloto Julius almost got the opening goal for the home side but his effort whistled off the bar.

Villa’s Fred Agandu was cautioned for a foul on Poloto Julius on 5 minutes.

Hassan Jurua dribbled past two opponents and laid a good ball for Ssenyonjo Samuel who missed with the goal keeper beaten.

After recess, teenager Steven Sserwadda replaced Hassan Jurua.

At the hour mark, Fillbert Obenchan almost broke the deadlock with a fierce header but Saidi Keni calmly collected.

Two minutes later, Lwanga Charles and Kigozi Andrew replaced Ssenyonjo Samuel and Poloto Julius.

On 73rd minute, Obenchan won possession on the center line and passed to Lwanga who dribbled and fired in a fierce shot that rattled the upright and in to give KCCA FC the long awaited lead.

The 13 time league Champions visit Mbarara City FC on Wednesday in Mbarara and later travel to Arua to face Onduparaka on Sunday.
