Latest info coming through confirms singer Rema Namakula’s husband Dr. Hamza Sebunya recently bought Almeca hospital in Jinja City.
He confirmed it in an interview with a local media outlet.
According to Dr. Hamza decided to try out another venture in the area he understands most. He adds that he chose to buy this health center in Jinja because the area is suitable for business.
“I developed interest to buy the facility in Jinja because I looked at the business aspect and the service delivery in jinja. Also, since Jinja is a city now really makes someone invest their monies in Jinja rather than Kampala. I want to assure the people of Uganda that we are going to set up other branches of Almeca Hospital in other parts of the country”, Hamza explains.
This info comes after the couple had traveled to Dubai for their birthday celebrations. Well, surprisingly, social media in-laws backed up Dr. Hamza’s brilliant idea of setting up a hospital.
This is because they believe will help to improve the health service delivery in Jinja City and the rest of other parts of the country.
Back then in 2018, a section of leaders in Jinja District petitioned the Ministry of Health (MOH) to buy it off. In addition with a planned move to make it a district facility to serve the people of Jinja better.
Almeca Hospital is found in Kyamaggwa Village in Mafubira Sub-County, and this was formerly owned by Butembe County MP Nelson Lufafa.
