Slain Brenda Nantongo the deceased daughter to the former Chief of Defense Forces CDF Gen Katumba Wamala will be laid to rest today at their ancestral home in Kikandwa, Kasawo sub-county Mukono district.
However, unlike the common norm where the dead are buried in either traditional wear or suits, Nantongo has been dressed in a cream stunning wedding gown as her forever dress.

The late Nantongo’s mother Catherine Wamala revealed to mourners on Wednesday during a requiem mass at their residence in Bulabira ,Najjera that they decided to bury her in a gown because she dreamed of wedding before leaving home.
Mrs. Wamala described the gown as a cream American satin that is sleeveless and round-necked with white pearls to the chest and a cocktail hat clipped to her hair.

She also said they had wanted to make her hair to complete the look with the gown but it was unfortunately cutoff.
“Let her wear the gown in a coffin, let us throw this wedding as her last celebration,” said Mrs Wamala
While speaking at the same vigil last night Gen Katumba said his daughter’s last words were ‘Jesus ‘.

The General was narrating the ordeal said his daughter was killed by the first bullets that penetrated though the car.
Nantongo was traveling with her father to Nanjanankumbi to attend her grandmother’s vigil when several times unknown assailants on boda bodas shot at the car .
Nantongo and her father’s driver Haruna Kayondo died at the scene of the shooting while Gen Katumba sustained injuries to his arms.

He was discharged on Wednesday after undergoing the surgery to his one arm ,he was allowed to bury his daughter before going for another surgery.
Gen Katumba appeared clad in a blue shirt with a sling on his one arm and a bandage on the other hand.
