Distressed Man Kills Self
Locals in the Kibaale district on Wednesday morning woke up to the shock of a suicide involving one of their own who recently tested positive for covid19.
25-year-old Joseph Ahaisibwe, a resident of Kibingo village, Bwamiramira Sub County in Kibaale district reportedly committed suicide at his home on Tuesday evening.
His lifeless body was discovered hanging by relatives who had carried for him food to eat.

Ahaisibwe tested positive for COVID-19 early this month and was placed under home-based care and was recovering steadily.
Thomas Oyo, the officer in charge of Kibaale Central Police station, says that the police together with the COVID-19 burial team rushed and picked the deceased’s body to prepare for burial arrangements.
This is not the first time an incident like this is happening, on June 13, 2021, 86-year-old Erifazi Byakatonda, a resident of Babigaya village in Kabasekende Sub County in Kibaale district also committed suicide by hanging.
