Irate Locals Lynch Pig
Locals in the Rakai district have lynched a vicious pig after it attacked and killed a one-year-old tot.
The irate locals in Kateera village in Ddwaniro sub-county where the incident happened pounced on the pig, cutting its stomach open and recovering fingers and some parts of the tot’s body.
After which, the pig was cut into pieces and burnt to ashes.
According to the tots’ mother, Peace Tukwasibwe, she left the baby sleeping on a mattress in the house on Friday and proceeded to prepare breakfast in the kitchen.

She told locals that the pig could have passed through entered the back door to access the toddler.
Tukwasibwe says by the time she returned to the house, she found the tot lying in a pool of blood with her lips, nose, left hand, stomach, and flesh on the chest all ripped off.
She adds that the pig was still eating the baby’s hand while she lay helpless and in a lot of pain.
She raised an alarm that attracted neighbors to the scene; however, it was too late to save the baby.
Tom Yiga Mulindwa, the sub-county LC III chairperson says the incident happened probably because the family’s failed to keep the pigs in a sty closed, exposing the baby to danger.
