Mother Dumps 1-Day -Old Baby
Police in Hoima City is hunting for a heartless mother who reportedly dumped her 1-day old baby on the roadside under unclear circumstances.
The lifeless body was found by locals wrapped in a small box at Kasasiro, Bujumbura East cell, Hoima West division on Sunday morning.
The locals immediately alerted Hoima police who retrieved the body and took it to the hospital for further examination.

Police are however looking for the mother to the baby whose identity remains unknown.
Emmanuel Kaahwa, the area LC1 Chairman says police have joined efforts with locals to identify the wicked mother who dumped her baby for the dead.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson has confirmed the incident saying that investigations into the matter have commenced and pledged to apprehend the culprit.
Early this year, a newly born baby was also dumped in Dwoli, Kitoba sub-county in Hoima district.
