Seasoned journalist Joseph Sabiti is on cloud 9 after being appointed as the Press secretary of Parliament by the Deputy Speaker, Annet Anita Among.

Sabiiti Joseph has been one of the correspondents of NBS TV at Parliament and also hosts the Frontline, a popular political talk show that airs every Thursday. 

This comes a few months after he returned to the Naguru based TV station. He had quit the station for a job at UBC TV and Action Aid in 2019. 

It is not clear whether he will resign from his TV job.

About Sabiiti

Joseph Sabiti was born in the Northern part of Uganda in the present day district called Zombo district.

He attended Arua Hill primary school which is found in Arua district in the West Nile region. After completing his secondary school education, Joseph Sabiti joined Uganda Christian University where he pursued a Bachelors degree in Mass Communication.

After completing his degree in Mass Communication, Joseph Sabiti Joined NBS television as a television reporter, reporting news about the latest political happenings in the country and he also occasionally appeared on political Media Round Table.

Joseph Sabiti was one time banned from accessing the premises of State House Entebbe simply because of his opinions.

He is married to Maureen Adong and they got married back in the year 2016 in a traditional ceremony. The couple met while at University.

At that time he was a third year student studying Mass communication at Uganda Christian University while Maureen Adong was a first year student studying law at Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU).

Apparently, the pair met through Facebook in April 2011 before finally meeting up for a cup of coffee and the rest is history.

The couple currently have a child together. Joseph Sabiti is an Inspiration to all the youths out there who are planning to join the media industry and shape their career in it.
