Police says hard hitting blogger Fred Lumbuye Kajjubi will be processed along with his case files he is handed over to them...

Last week Minister for foreign Affairs , Henry Okollo Oryem thumped chest and confirmed the deportation of blogger, Fred Lumbuye Kajjubi aka Chemical Ali.

Hon. Oryem visibly in a buoyant mood told journalist during a presser at the Ministry Office that Lumbuye was already on Turkish Airways to Entebbe International Airport. He further confirmed that the motormouth NUP-leaning blogger is to face the law for promoting sectarianism and instigating violence.

On Sunday, Uganda Radio Network quoted Minister Oryem confirming that Lumbuye is now in Uganda after successful deportation from Turkey.

“Lumbuye is in the safe hands of the government,” he said. He, however, declined to reveal where he is being held for security purposes and not to attract crowds. Oryem also castigated journalists who were to the airport to witness Lumbuye’s arrival.

“I warned you all not to go to the airport. I told you that you won’t get access to the airside. So why did you go to the airport?”, he asked.

He was responding to claims that officers from the elite Special Forces Command (SFC) had chased journalists from the entrance of the airport on Saturday morning.

Now Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga has also provided updates on Lumbuye’s whereabouts.

In presser the Police mouthpiece didn’t confirm whether Lumbuye is in the country. He promised to give more info about the blogger when he is finally handed over to police.

“…up to now people are saying is he with police? which agencies is he with…we want to tell the public that as the police we do have about 15 case files against Fred Kajjubi Lumbuye…”, he confirmed before adding;

“..until Fred Kajjubi Lumbuye is handed over to the police, we shall come with a statement indicating the allegations against him. So that is where our boundary is, whether he is in the country or whether he is not yet in the country, for us our interest as the police is that once he is handed over we shall process him along these 15 case files…”, Enanga explained.
