Uganda Breweries Limited unveiled a responsible drinking song called Red Card that aimed at reminding alcohol consumers to stop drink driving, an act that could cost them their lives.
Sung by the Red Card ambassador Vinka, produced and written by Swangz Avenue, the dancehall song carries a message declaring that it’s okay to have fun and party as long as you don’t drink and drive!
“Speaking during the launch of the song as Amnesia Club, Uganda Breweries Communications Manager Rhona Arinaitwe said, “Music and alcohol are part of every celebration. We are therefore using the music platform to amplify our responsible drinking message. We believe that responsible drinking can be part of a balanced lifestyle and therefore encourage people to enjoy alcohol safely.“

Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) under their Red Card Initiative, has since December 2018 been running a responsible drinking campaign that is aimed at engaging consumers to make a commitment to never drink and drive, in a bid to reduce drink driving incidents in Uganda.
The campaign dubbed “Join the Pact to never drink and drive” is targeting to collect 10,000 commitments over a period of 6 months.
UBL also officially unveiled award-winning television personality, Calvin Kalule popularly known by his showbiz name, Calvin the entertainer as a responsible drinking ambassador. He joins Vinka, Innocent Nahabwe who have been spearheading the campaign since December 2018.
