Wood news pecker Tusubiira Ibrahim alias Isma Olaxes has been denied bail and thrown into the cold cells of Kitalya government prison until Tuesday this week.
This is after the stern blogger was slapped with two counts of Offensive Communication and Criminal libel while appearing at the Buganda Road Magistrate’s Court.
The 43-year-old blogger appeared in court looking composed and confident in his casual red Fuba T-shirt and white shorts with a strapped identity card.
Olaxes was accompanied by his lawyer Hon. Mohammed Nsereko also Kampala Central Mp who requested that his client be given bail since all the offences are bailable.
However, the Grade One Magistrate Doreen Kalungi denied him bail on grounds that trial Judge Mageni Marion was absent.

Kalungi adjourned the bail application and mention, sending Olaxes to jail after he pleaded not guilty to the two offences.
The prosecution alleges that Tusubiira Ibrahim , Kawalya Isaac Ssemulondo , Waako Bryan Kennedy and Makuliro Williams on the 27th day of August 2021 used electronic communications at Sanyuka TV of the Next Media to repeatedly utter statements about Ssuuna Emmanuel a local musician.
The group claimed that Suuna was broke and had resorted to sorcery and siphoning money from old women as means of survival. These statements disturbed the peace and right of privacy of Suuna who dragged them to Court.
While his 3 comrades were remanded to Jail last week, Olaxes managed to dodge the first time, but the long arm of the Police soon discovered his hiding place of hiding and arrested him.
