Police in Kampala on Tuesday afternoon hurried to put out a fire that had ravaged through several houses in Kakajjo zone ,Kisenyi ,Central division.
Over ten families have been rendered homeless after the mysterious file burnt down their makeshift houses and destroyed property.
Luke Owoyesigirye the Deputy Kampala metropolitan spokesperson says police rushed to the scene after receiving information that a fire had broken out.
He says the cause of the fire is not yet known but it is believed that it could have started from one of the houses before spreading out .
Owoyesigirye says no injuries or fatalities have been reported from the incident .He adds that investigations are currently ongoing into the matter to establish the exact cause of the fire.
