Female teacher defiles a 16-year-old
Police in Old Kampala has in their custody a 42-year-old, female teacher, from Namungoona Kigobe Primary School for sexually molesting a teenage boy (names withheld).
The teacher Nankya Elizabeth, allegedly defiled the 16 year old boy from her place of residence at the school staff quarters on December 27, 2021. .
Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, says Nankya invited the juvenile to her house and asked him to undress before she performed the gruesome act on him without protection.
“The suspect had unprotected sex with the victim, despite well knowing she was HIV positive, she asked the victim to remove his clothes and indulged into an unlawful act of sexual intercourse,” Enanga said.
He says the victim has since been examined and administered on Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP).
In 2020 Annual Crime report, 301 children were defiled by suspects who are HIV positive compared to 390 in
2019. According to the report in 2020 alone, 52 (Pupils) in primary were defiled by their teachers while 55 students in Secondary were defiled by teacher. 9954 children between 15-17 years were sexually molested.
Overall 14,134 cases of were reported to Police compared to 13,613 cases reported in 2019, giving an increase of 3.8%.
Enanga says male and female juveniles remain vulnerable to sexual abuse especially from people they trust.
“They are usually relatives to the victim or acquaintances such as neighbours, siblings, family friends, teachers etc, who appear to be warm, caring, loving and respectful,” Enanga said
Female teacher defiles a 16-year-old
On December 07 2021,a primary school teacher in Luwero district was arrested for defiling a nine-year-old pupil he was offering private coaching.
The suspect, 28-year-old Richard Obonyo, a teacher at Child Care Primary School in Kikyusa town council reportedly defiled a primary four pupil of Kikyusa Grammar Primary School.
The victim’s father Obonyo claims the teacher had been coaching the minor at his private home but the girl reported to him that the teacher forced her into sex after covering her eyes and mouth with handkerchiefs.
