Police in Rukungiri district are hunting for a speeding Boda boda rider accused of having knocked down a pedestrian on Sunday evening.
According to police, the fatal incident occurred in the evening at Mugamba village along Rukungiri Kabira road, the identity of the rider or his motorcycle number plate remain unknown.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi region police spokesperson, has identified the deceased as Tumwebaze John Bosco, 50, and a resident of Nyabihinga cell Kyatoko Ward Eastern Division Rukungiri District.
He says the lifeless body of the deceased was taken to Rwakabengo Health Centre mortuary for a postmortem while investigations into the incident continue.
