Mane played like a beast in the tense win against Burkina Faso in the semi final Afcon affair.

Sadio Mane is a household name in the streets of Liverpool, one of England’s most decorated sides.

The Senegalese has coined a formidable attack force with his colleague from Egypt Mohammed Salah at the Merseyside club.

Mane has decorated himself with the Premier League title and the acclaimed champions league.

He has scored 103 goals and assisted 37 times in 243 games for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

In the ongoing Africa Cup of nations, he has 3 goals to his name in his country’s six games at the tournament so far.

One of those goals was against Burkina Faso. A brilliantly taken goal after receiving a worldly pass from Watford winger Ismaila Sarr.

His goal arrived after helping his side go two goals clear in the second half when he set up PSG star midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

Mane and his team had had a quiet first half with the game appearing like it was headed for the dead ball.

Returning from the dressing, the Liverpool star and his teammates stepped up the game. Mane in particular was unplayable for the Burkina Faso defense.

He kept on running at them and forcing them into errors. His assist to Gueye’s goal was from a forced error.

Mane’s goal came from an error by Burkina Faso midfielders who clashed leaving Sarr to slide the ball into the forward’s path who made no mistake.

The Liverpool forward has his toughest test coming up on Sunday when he leads his country in their biggest game.
