Who will survive the Chamber?

Fans of the WWE can gear up for another thrilling Pay-Per-View event, the Elimination Chamber, which will be held at the Dome at the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia on the evening of Saturday 19 February 2022. SuperSport will air the event live and feature repeats on Sunday 20 February.

No rival can compete with SuperSport‘s  coverage. Our viewers on DStv and GOtv have found their #HomeOfSport.

The Elimination Chamber structure is a steel enclosure placed over the ring which then features four smaller enclosures in each corner. For each Elimination Chamber match, two or three participants (or tag teams) begin in the ring, with a further superstar (or tag team) released from their enclosure every five minutes.

The objective is to eliminate each opponent from the match via pinfall or submission. The winner is the last remaining participant (or team) after all others have been eliminated. As in the Hell in a Cell match, disqualifications do not apply.

One of the highlights of this Pay-Per-View will be an Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship, with title-holder Bobby Lashley taking on  Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, Austin Theory, Riddle and AJ Styles.

“I’m supposed to be celebrating the fact that I beat Brock Lesnar [at the Royal Rumble]. I knew I was better than him all along,” said Lashley. “Who’s the conquerer now? Who’s the beast now? Who’s the champion now? Bobby Lashley.”

Another highlight of the match card sees WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch put her title on the line against the Hall of Famer Lita, in a battle of red-heads who have changed the game and become legends in their own right.

“You never back down from a challenge and you’re a fighting champion,” Lita said to Lynch. “So I was thinking… Me and you at Elimination Chamber? Or are you scared… just say if you’re scared.”

Lynch replied, “I am many things, but one thing I am not is scared. If you want a match at Elimination Chamber, you got it!”

The card also features Roman Reigns putting his WWE Universal Championship on the line against Goldberg; The Usos defending their SmackDown Tag Team titles against The Viking Raiders; and an Elimination Chamber match for a WWE Raw Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania in April.

Now GOtv viewers can also enjoy some world-class WWE action every Wednesday evening on SuperSport GOtv Select3, with a past Pay-Per-View (17:00 CAT), WWE 205 (21:00 CAT) and a documentary (21:30 CAT).
