Struggling Manchester United

Leeds United and Manchester United will renew their rivalry at Elland Road as the two sides go head-to-head in the Premier League.

The Red Devils come into this clash in fourth place – four points shy of third-place Chelsea and two points clear of fifth-place West Ham United.

On the flip side, Leeds find themselves fifteenth – six points clear of the relegation zone and 20 points behind Manchester United.

Leeds have only managed to win five of their 23 Premier League games this season, registering eight draws and then losses along the way.

Only the bottom four sides have picked up fewer wins than Marcelo Bielsa’s men, while only five teams have recorded more draws.

When you look at the recent picture, Leeds have won just two of their previous nine league outings and head into Sunday’s clash on a three-game winless run.

It is also worth noting that Leeds have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their past ten encounters in all competitions, meaning they will almost certainly concede this weekend.

By contrast, Manchester United are currently enjoying an eight-game unbeaten streak across all competitions.

They have avoided defeat in each of their previous six Premier League matches, picking up three wins and three draws in the process.

In fact, the Red Devils have lost just one of their last 13 league games sealing seven wins and five draws during that period.

Having kept a clean sheet in their previous three visits to Elland Road, Manchester United will be confident of coming away with all three points this time around.

Head-to-head: Man Utd crushed Leeds 5-1 in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford back in August, with Bruno Fernandes netting a hat-trick on that occasion.

Since Leeds returned to the Premier League in 2020, they have conceded a whopping 11 goals against Man Utd across just three meetings.

Team news: Leeds will be without the injured trio of Liam Cooper, Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford on Sunday.

As for Man Utd, they currently have Nemanja Matic and Edinson Cavani sidelined through injury. Raphael Varane and Eric Bailly are also doubts for this weekend.
