KCCA drop more points

KCCA’s StarTimes Uganda Premier League title hopes suffered another disappointing blow as they were held to a  goalless draw by Arua Hill at Lugogo coached by Livingstone Mbabazi.

KCCA came into the game with a chance of reducing Vipers SC seven-point gap atop with a win, but that wasn’t possible as they settled for a stalemate draw.

The opening half was far from entertaining as both sides struggled to create any meaningful chance to break the deadlock, with the only realistic chance at goal came just before the break as Arua Hill’s Innocent rattled the crossbar following Ibrahim Tembo’s long throw.

Having looked lazy upfront in the opening half, KCCA fc head coach Morley Byekwaso made a double change at restart as he bought on Mwanje Elvis and Davis Kasirye for Ashraf Mugume and Yasser Mugerwa respectively.

The second half was as the same as no different from the opening half as both sides still struggled to get an shot on target from their chances.

Bright Vuni headed wide Gaddafi Wahad’s corner kick before on the other side, Brian Majwega skied his effort wide to deny the hosts getting the three points.

Rogers Mato also finished the target after coming on for Sadat Anaku. KCCA could have won almost at the end of the game, but Charles Lwanga failed to find the target after being set through by Kasirye.

KCCA drop more points

With a point, the Kasasiro Boys move to 46 points in 23 games and now six points below Vipers SC, who have played a game less. There next meeting with Vipers still looks a title decider.

Arua Hill, who have drawn their last four games now move to fifth place on the log with 40 points. KCCA will play Vipers SC next in what is termed as the title decider.
