Police in Kabalagala is holding a woman for luring teenagers into an online pornography business disguised as a freelance marketing gig.
Nakaziba Oliver has been operating the business ‘Online Module Center’ for which she hires girls to pose nude infront of a camera in exchange for money.
Nakaziba was arrested alongside four female workers including Wainawalo Ester, aged 18, Matovu Patricia, 18, Katusiime Mackline 20, and Atim Ritar aged 25.
Fred Enanga the Uganda Police Spokesperson says police nabbed the suspect and her accomplices from their rental apartment in Kabalagala following an intelligence led trail carried out in the last two weeks.
Enanga says Nakaziba provided an account for the girls that allows them to connect with a client or member while on private bedroom. The girls were then asked to do graphic image and pornographic acts like posing nude, dancing naked, while erotic pictures are captured on video and even shared.
He says police recovered five computers from the scene that are currently being processed by the Cyber Forensics Unit for digital evidence of either Child pornography and other pornographic materials. Also recovered includes sexual paraphernalia.
“We wish to warn all sex traffickers and other illegal proprietors of pornography sites including Child Pornography, against live streaming the sexual abuse and exploitation of children. It is a crime, which looks profitable to them, but is punishable.” Enanga said
It was one of the most active pornographic platforms, which has been shut down, pending completion of inquiries.
