Lillian Abalo Ongom, reportedly a sister in law to the head Judiciary, Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny Dollo has been jailed after pleading guilty to criminal tress pass.

Abalo, also president of the Mother’s Union in East Acholi will serve her sentence at Patongo Prison in Agago district. She is also a former contestant for the Agago Woman Parliamentary seat, a Presidential Advisor and the incumbent Vice Chairperson of NRM Women’s League in Northern Uganda. 

On Monday, July 18th, Abalo was netted red-handed planting charms in the home in Aloi, Village, Patongo Town Council in Agago district.

She was consequently arrested by a security that was guarding the residence currently under construction. While in Police custody, Abalo reportedly confessed to planting the charms, which comprised of sticks and liquid in a plastic bottle in the Attic.

She explained that the herbs are harmless because they are only meant to reconcile her with Dollo, considering the duo have been enemies since 2012. They had a misunderstanding over some property

“The conduct was barbaric and has no place in modern society. This is also to send a message to others who might want to commit a similar offense,” Dragole said.

Abalo however plans to appeal the conviction on the grounds that she is a widow with children who need her and ill health that needs medication.
