Centenary Bank has over the years used customer week celebrations to reconnect, engage and recognise their customers countrywide. This year, through the customer engagements and interactions, the bank focused on reaching out to the various SMEs supported by the bank on how best products and service delivery can be improved.

At the start of the year, our focus was geared towards financing and ensuring SME businesses are cushioned to bounce back. With interactions with these SME businesses, the bank’s team was hailed for the favourable financing incentives introduced.

Speaking at the different engagements held by the Centenary Bank Najjanankumbi branch, Juliet Baggaya Nsiyona the Manager SME, recognised the effort and contribution of each business citing the importance of SME businesses opting for different financing solutions to keep their businesses afloat.

“We have introduced products to finance and cushion businesses that were among the most hit by the pandemic. Schools that bank with us can apply for overdraft financing which aids such businesses with finances to facilitate the smooth running of their business even when they are low on cashflows,” she noted.

Some of the customers that were engaged identified the services that have overtime eased their way of working. Customers in the retail business recognised the advantage of online banking services such as CenteMobile and Cente Agent banking which enable the traders bank their daily profits online without necessarily queuing in the banking halls.

Contrary to popular culture, Centenary Bank sought to engage while giving back to their customers for a month, in the hope that all their customers countrywide will get to interact with an official from the management team of the bank.

“Our aim is to reach as many customers as possible this month as we educate, interact and learn about the different areas we [can] improve to smoothen the relationship with our Cente customers,” Nsiyona noted.
