Speaker of the 11th Parliament of Uganda, Annet Anita Among, has travelled out of the country on invitation from the Papal office.
The Head of Parliament left Tuesday for Rome, Italy.
“I have left for Rome, Italy on the invitation of the Holy See,” the powerful lady from the East confirmed her departure last evening.

At the conclusion of the general audience, Among says she will “greet the Holy Father.”
“I will have the opportunity to greet the Holy Father at the conclusion of the general audience,” said Among.
With the exchange with the Pope, Among is looking to “a fulfilling experience with the Holy Father and fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ.”
Papal audiences are usually held with the Pope in Rome so that pilgrims and visitors receive the Papal blessing or Apostolic Blessing from the successor Apostle Peter during their visit. The visit consists of teachings, readings and prayers in various languages, according to the papal audience website.
Among, however, jets out of the country at a time when she is the Head of Parliament, a top organ of the Government. Secondly, she has just joined the institution of marriage after a private traditional marriage with lawmaker and FUFA (Federation of Uganda Football Association) President, Eng. Moses Magogo, a time assumed to be for honeymoon.
