Wakiso man kills wife, two children

Police in Wakiso district have exhumed three bodies of a mother and two children reportedly killed by their biological father five months ago.

The suspect is Faisal Muwanguzi, a resident of Buloba-Bukomansimbi village who is currently on remand for child torture.

The bodies were exhumed by police officers after one of Muwanguzi’s children reported to the local council leaders that their ruthless father had killed and buried the deceased near his house in Wakiso District.

Joanita Mukalazi, the Child and Family Welfare Officer in Wakiso district, says that while interviewing the children, one of them revealed how their father had killed their mother and two siblings.

Mukalazi says the teenagers took security personnel and local council leaders to the spot where the three bodies were exhumed.

Mukalazi says Muwanguzi threatened his children not to reveal the whereabouts of their mother for over four months.

Dan Kiwanuka, the chairperson of Buloba-Bwotansimbi village, says that Muwanguzi often tortured his children, by plucking out their teeth, denying them food and flogging them.

He adds that Muwanguzi was severally brought before the village court until he blocked the public from accessing his fence.

The Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, says the decomposed bodies have been taken to Mulago National Referral Hospital for postmortem.
