Sipapa in hotter sauce

City socialite Moses Olim alias Sipapa is slowly paying for his sins after security has uncovered new evidence linking him to 12 robberies in Kampala.

This development comes just days after Sipapa and his accomplice wife were thrown into jail at Luzira, for robbing cash worth UGX1.6 billion and other tech gadgets from South Sudanese nationals residing in Bunga, Kampala.

Among the stolen items were four iPhones, apple laptops, dell laptop, gold jewellery, a 65-inch Samsung TV, among others.

Fred Enanga, the Uganda Police Spokesperson, told our reporter Minah Nalule that further investigations by the Criminal Investigations Directorate and the Forensics Directorate shows that Sipapa carried out robberies in several other places including Bugoloobi, Ntinda, Kira, Kabalagala, Jinja road, Kiwatule and Kyanja Jomayi.

He says finger print DNA belonging to Sipapa was found pinning him as a perpetrator or one of the perpetrators at all the scenes of burglary and theft since 2014.

“We are now linking him to 12 other scenes of crime of burglary and theft. Our Criminal Investigations have established 12 other cases linked to Sipapa. When his fingerprints and DNA samples were run in our database, scientific evidence linked him to the crime scenes,” Enanga said.

Presidential Advisor on Defence, Lt Gen Proscovia Nalweyiso, revealed that she had ordered the UPDF soldiers guarding Sipapa to be withdrawn on grounds that he is a criminal gangstar.

“I have been tracking him and I know he leads a gang of thugs who break into people’s homes,” Lt Gen Nalweyiso said.
