The Buganda Masaza Organizing Committee together with the Masaza officials held a successful meeting on Wednesday afternoon for the draws of the Airtel Masaza cup semifinals at Bulange, Mengo.
Defending champions Buddu, Bulemeezi, Busiro and Ssingo, all came from Muganzirwazza and Masengere group to storm the semi-finals of the 2022 edition.
The leg will be played on 9th October with the second leg fixtures scheduled for 16th of the same month.
The Duration changed from 3pm to 4pm for the first leg but the return leg remain at 3pm.
Commenting about the 1st leg of the Airtel-Masaza Cup Semi-Finals, Airtel Uganda PR Manager, David Birungi said, “Airtel Uganda commends the 18 teams that have represented the different Masaza counties in the ongoing 2022 Airtel Masaza Cup tournament. The talent, hard work, and dedicated service you have showcased on and off the pitch has proven that each one of you is a champion, and we are proud to support and pledge our continued commitment towards such an impactful initiative that grooms talent and provides an employment avenue for the youth.”
Airtel Uganda has sponsored the Masaza Cup Tournament for the last 10 years, which has had a great impact on grassroot football development. Many young people use the tournament as a springboard for their talent.
