Sheebah widens her source of income

The self-proclaimed Nakyeyombekedde is growing from strength to strength, both musically and financially even after parting ways with her music godfather and mentor, Jeff Kiwa of Team No Sleep (TNS). Yes, one would point out the fact that she is still riding on the works and star status she attained during her heydays with Jeff Kiwa but hey, we should also give credit to Queen Karma’s bravery to step out of her comfort zone and hustle on her own.

Aside from organising her forthcoming concert at Kampala Serena hotel- a venue where the likes of Bebe Cool, Juliana, Rema, Irene Ntale and other few outstanding music champs have staged their concerts, Sheebah is widening her business empire!

This week on Tuesday, as she was addressing members of the press about her concert, the 32-year-old star singer also launched her own movie streaming app dubbed UGFLIX. The singer revealed that this is a project that she’s been pursuing for the past three years.

Queen Karma likened the app to global giant movie streaming app, Netflix. According to the singer, this app is going to be global and accessible to many people out there.

The singer added that this application has taken a lot of her resources and time as it wasn’t easy to finish it. It’s also going to be the first of its kind in Uganda.

“This application has taken me about 3-4 years to complete. It will be like Netflix and the first of its kind in Uganda. Besides, it will also be accessible to different people out there across the world. The reason I’m doing such businesses is to employ and empower as many Ugandans as possible. I already employ about 60 people,” Sheebah explained.

Sheebah already has Holic Sanitary pads and Yacht. She also owns Red Terrace Events and a crib befitting her brand.
