A total of 16 people have perished and several others sustained injuries in a horrible accident along the Kampala-Gulu highway.
The accident occurred at 12 am on Friday morning at Adebe trading centre near corner Kamdini, when the Bus belonging to Roblyn bus company rammed into a stationary trailer registration number UAZ 381A/UBD 318C.
Bodies whose identities remain unknown have been taken to Anyeke Health Center IV pending a postmortem.
Patrick Jimmy Okema, the North Kyoga police spokesperson says twelve people died immediately the accident happened while four of 21 injured and hospitalized persons and succumbed to injuries at Atapara hospital where they were rushed for treatment.
Okema could not verily establish the cause of the accident but says preliminary findings show that the trailer had parked wrongly on the road without war

- Acaye Joseph 30 yrs old from Gulu.
