Police have netted three of their own for conspiring with a horny pastor who raped and stole from a woman of Lativian descent in Kampala.
The suspects currently in custody include; Seargent Doreen Oyera, Corporal Judith Akite and Constable Joyce Ayereget, all attached to Jinja Road Police Station
The victim Saulite Anda alleges that she was sexually molested by Pastor Joseph Collins Twahirwa of Epikaizo Ministries International on December 12, 2022 in Bugolobi, Kampala.
Anda claims the man of ‘God’invited her for a visit to Ugandabut when she arrived, he treated her harshly by seizing her passport and visa before stealing USD 300 and 400 Euros from her. Anda says the wicked pastor later bonked her forcefully.
Anda told detectives at the Criminal Investigations Directorate-(CID) that she went to the Jinja Road Police station to file a case against the pastor but instead met with scheming cops.
She says the three implicated officers compelled her to sign a document indicating that she willingly gave the pastor the stolen money, translated in shillings, before asking her to withdraw the entire case.
The CID team has since established that the officers conspired with Twahirwa to ensure Anda leaves Uganda as soon as possible as her Visa was expiring today.
Maj. Tom Magambo, the CID Director ordered the arrest of the three detectives at Jinja road who was arrested on Sunday afternoon.
Police Deputy Police Spokesperson Clare Nabakka says the trio will be charged with irregular conduct contrary to section 44 of the Police Act. Twahirwa has also been arrested.
The Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control –DCIC has ALSO extended Anda’s stay to ensure the case is fully investigated and provides all the necessary evidence for a successful trial.
