Jinja music star remanded
Celebrated Jinja city musician David Kakaire alias Top K, has been remanded to prison on charges of aggravated human trafficking and defilement.
He appeared before the Jinja Grade one Magistrate Linda Nakalema on Wednesday where he was sent to Kirinya prisons until March 02 2023.
Court heard that on February 04th, 2023, Kakaire and others still at large, trafficked a minor with the intent of sexual exploitation. Kakaire defiled a 13 year old girl at Green Summer bar and lodge.

According to the father of the victim, his daughter who was hired as a dancer at his concert in Kayunga suddenly disappeared with him on Friday. He claims Bamukisa had contracted other teenage girls to also dance at his concert.
He was reported to police after the suspect attempted to book a room with his victim.
Court didn’t allow Kakaire to plead to the charges on the grounds that her court lacks jurisdiction to hear capital offenses.
