While attending the vigil of actor/former MP Kato Lubwama in Mutundwe on Thursday last week, singer Big Size Bebe Cool took time off and raged at loose-mouthed politicians.
In his speech, Bebe, who is a renowned yellow bus passenger, claimed that he has issues with political opportunists who use burial ceremonies to front their political interests, instead of mourning peacefully.

”I have always wanted to speak about this issue, but I never got the opportunity. Now that I have, let me address it. I am not happy with you, politicians. We have come here in deep sorrow to comfort the family of the late Kato, but you are bringing politics into it. Let’s respect the late and the family. It is a shame. Let’s only talk about the late,” he urged.
However, his nemesis and National Unity Platform honcho, Bad Bobi Wine who also came through on Saturday to pay his last respect to the legendary actor and musician argued that the deceased was a Member of Parliament and thus it was only right to talk about politics at his vigil.
Bobi, 41, stressed that politicians like him use burials to communicate to their people about issues affecting them in the society.

“If you are at the vigil of someone who was a politician, what should you expect?” he wondered.
Bobi further noted that, much as he and Kato Lubwama were not buddies, it’s human that he had to attend the vigil as a sign of respect.
Many politicians had been giving speeches relating to how the late Kato was a member of the Democratic Party.
Among the politicians who were present were Makindye mayor Nganda Mulyanyama, Kampala Central MP Muhammad Nsereko, Mawokota North MP Hillary Kiyaga aka Dr. Hilderman and many Rubaga Division councillors.
