ADF: 37 Students Killed In Kasese As Army, Police Pursue Terrorists

The UPDF and Police have confirmed an attack on Lhubirira secondary school, in Mpondwe, last night.

Police Spokesman, Fred Enanga says that a dormitory was burnt and a food store looted.

So far 25 bodies have been recovered from the school and transferred to Bwera Hospital, Enanga said in a statement Saturday.

“Also recovered are 8 victims, who remain in critical condition at Bwera Hospital. A hot pursuit by the UPDF and the police is ongoing, towards Virunga national park.”

According to the Army Spokesman, Brig. Gen. Felix Kulayigye, 37 bodies have been discovered.

He says that the CDF, Gen. Wilson Mbadi and the UPDF Commander, Land Forces have arrived at the scene to carry out on-spot assessments.

President Yoweri Museveni who doubles as the Commander-in-Chief of the armed Forces is yet to release a statement on the matter.
