It is a norm that every Ugandan artist must have close pals commonly known as “Eggali” that run their errands.
How these people survive is unclear because they dedicate all their lives to their masters, the artists.
But it is common knowledge that most of these close pals to artists resort to handouts for survival except a few that are paid for their input.
Well, singer Undercover Papi is not happy with artists who don’t help out their pals thus resorting to begging.
Through his Twitter platform, Undercover Papi sent a letter to the artists and accused them of being greedy.
“A letter to my fellow artists
Dear artists. Why are you so greedy? People around you are so lucky, but you have too much. Your close friends beg for other people when their rents are due, yet you send them to do almost everything in your music business. Mweddeko,” he tweeted.
Undercover Papi is signed to DCM Empire, a Record label that houses Mudra D’Viral. He is currently based in the diaspora.
