Drama exploded in Mityana court as NUP’s flashy Woman MP hopeful, Prossy Mukisa, was slapped with charges of offensive communication and then tossed behind bars.

This is all over a political video involving children.

State Attorney Barbara Ariyo claimed Mukisa used minors in a “shocking political stunt” that she called both unethical and defamatory. Word in court was she “exploited innocent kids to push her agenda” a big no-no in the law books.

But Mukisa’s lawyer, Emmanuel Kiyinji instead called the whole case a political setup, saying she’s being punished for her growing popularity in the district.

“They fear her influence. This is just harassment dressed up as justice.”Kiyinji snapped.

The courtroom tension hit new heights when her bail hearing was delayed , not because of missing documents, but because NIRA’s biometric machine was reportedly offline. No fingerprints, no verification, no bail.

“We couldn’t confirm the ID documents,” the prosecution cried, asking for more time.

With that, the magistrate ordered Mukisa off to Mityana Government Prison, where she’ll sit until May 22.

Supporters outside court chanted in protest, calling the move a “political witch-hunt.”

Her aide, Mukooza Tadeo said this isn’t just about Mukisa , it’s a warning shot at anyone who dares challenge the regime.
