Elijah Kitaka, one of Uganda’s most exciting new music voices, delivered a powerful and stylish statement last night with a sold-out, live concert experience at Lugogo UMA Grounds.

A night that proved his stardom is both inevitable and unstoppable.

The intimate showcase kicked off at exactly 9:00 PM with a high-energy set from local duo Double Black setting the mood for what would become an unforgettable night.

At 10:00 PM, the crowd erupted as Elijah Kitaka hit the stage, joining his live band for a two-hour non-stop performance that took fans on an emotional, sonic and visual journey. Kitaka performed some of his biggest tracks from Ekyange, Dawa, Good Idea among others alongside unreleased songs with each song wrapped in his signature genre-bending sound and elevated by his fearless fashion sense.

Dressed in a visually arresting, avant-garde outfit, Elijah turned the stage into a runway boldly expressing his creative identity through both music and style. The night reached a surprise high when Kenya’s Mr. Tee made an unannounced appearance, joining Elijah on stage to perform their latest release Panda Kitanda for an explosive cross-border performance that underscored his growing regional appeal.

“Performing to a sold-out crowd, with people singing every lyric, feeling every note, it was a dream,” Elijah said after the show. “And doing it live, with my band (Double Black) in my own skin and style, that’s the real magic.”

The concert marks a significant milestone in Elijah Kitaka’s journey from rising talent to national headline act.
