Maddox Ssemanda Sematimba just dropped a bombshell during an interview, and it’s got fans buzzing! The Namagembe hitmaker revealed that he NEVER plays music by Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool, or Gravity Omutujju in his house—and yes, that includes his own songs too!

“Home is where we create the moods,” Maddox said. “It is the root of the moods of your soul.”
According to the reggae icon, the energy in his home is sacred, and he personally curates every vibe that flows through it. While he has no beef with the trio—he actually respects their talent immensely—he says their music just doesn’t fit the peaceful, soul-soothing energy he wants in his space.
“I can’t be in my house and play Bebe Cool’s music, but I love it in public. Even Bobi Wine. I don’t play Gravity’s music at home either,” he stated bluntly.

But don’t get it twisted—Maddox didn’t hold back on giving credit where it’s due:
On Bobi Wine: “He’s a great songwriter and a toaster. We’ve written songs together. He chants rhythmically over beats very well.”
On Bebe Cool: “He’s a powerful performer and a real trendsetter. Young people love him because he sets the trends… But trends end.”

Despite the playlist ban at home, Maddox made it clear that his stance is all about energy, not ego. His focus? Creating a sanctuary where serenity reigns and only the softest, most healing melodies are allowed through the speakers.
Now that’s some spiritual sound engineering!
