UK-based Afro-R&B sensation Gabby just proved he’s more than a hitmaker – he’s a dream-maker too! Ahead of his much-anticipated performance at the Jambazz Rave Summer Experience on August 23, at Lugogo Hockey Grounds, the star dropped some unexpected but heartwarming news: he’s giving out full university scholarships to two exceptional underprivileged Ugandan girls!

In a powerful gesture that’s winning hearts across the country, Gabzy announced that he will be fully funding the education of two young women at the International University of East Africa (IUEA) – one of Uganda’s top private universities known for its innovation and inclusive values.

“Humbled by the love we’re receiving from amazing young women in Uganda! I’m thrilled to offer FULL scholarships for two underprivileged but exceptional girls to pursue any course at starting this August intake,” Gabzy tweeted to his thousands of fans.

And this isn’t just PR – the scholarships cover everything: full tuition for any course offered, starting from the August 2025 intake. Whether it’s Business, Engineering, or Science & Technology, these two lucky girls will be free to chase their dreams without worrying about school fees.

The IUEA, which is fully chartered by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education, has been praised for championing access to education, especially for vulnerable and disadvantaged groups. Gabzy’s move aligns perfectly with the university’s mission of nurturing future leaders – and making sure no talent goes to waste just because of financial struggles.

According to the Uni, the scholarships are open to young women from underprivileged backgrounds who show academic promise, creativity, or leadership potential. Applications are now live at iuea.ac.ug, and girls across Uganda are already rushing to apply before the deadline.

“This is bigger than music – it’s about impact,” said one fan on X (formerly Twitter). “Gabzy is walking the talk!”
