Mlinza Farm, a pioneering organic agribusiness and Agri-tourism hub, in partnership with KCB Bank Uganda, has today officially launched Meat Fest 2025: A Celebration of Community, Sustainability & Food Culture. The launch ceremony was held at Soleen Restaurant in Makindye, the sister company to Mlinza Farm.
The festival, set for 6th December 2025 at Mlinza Farm in Zirobwe, Luwero, is expected to bring together over 1,000 participants, including members of the Ugandan diaspora and middle-class households. It will be a unique celebration that blends food, culture and sustainability, while showcasing Uganda’s rich hospitality and agribusiness potential.
Established in 2018, Mlinza Farm has become a sanctuary of organic farming and sustainability, working with over 200 out-growers, the majority of whom are women. The farm’s community-centred approach has promoted economic empowerment, inclusive growth and innovative Agri-tourism experiences through farm tours, workshops and community outreach initiatives.
Speaking at the launch, Carol Zawedde of Mlinza Farm, said, “Meat Fest is more than a food festival. It is a platform to celebrate our people, our culture and the shared commitment to building a sustainable future. We are proud to champion women farmers and bring communities together through this unique event.”
