John Blaq has thrown a bombshell into the industry after boldly declaring that no songwriter in the country comes close to his level.

In an explosive interview with Galaxy TV, the self-proclaimed “triple threat” – handling songwriting, production, and performance – revealed he’s been dominating all three for nearly a decade, and still, nobody has challenged him.

“I haven’t found any writer who has really challenged me. Most of the time, they bring their songs, and I end up showing them how to do it,” he bragged.

According to John Blaq, many of the country’s top writers secretly slide into his corner for help, only for him to polish their work beyond recognition. He insists every hit he has released was 100% penned by himself, with no ghostwriters behind the curtain.

But he’s not done yet. The “Obubadi” star is now extending an olive branch, if not a challenge, to fellow artists:
“If you are an artist and songwriters are stressing you, just call me, and I will help you out.”

Industry watchers believe his fiery comments were aimed at shaking up respected names like Dokta Brain, Daddy Andre, and Shena Skies, among others, setting the stage for what could be the fiercest songwriting showdown Uganda has ever seen.

Is John Blaq Uganda’s undisputed king of pen and paper, or has he just declared a lyrical war he can’t win?
