Songstress Jowy Landa is counting her blessings after she and her team survived a nasty car accident on Thursday night.
The TCM diva revealed that while returning from a performance in Kasangati, their vehicle – a Toyota Noah – was involved in an accident, leaving the car badly damaged. The “Sell Like Hot Cake” star shared a clip of the wreckage but spared details of how the crash unfolded. Luckily, she and her team walked away with only minor injuries.
Ironically, the ride in question was brand new and had just been unveiled a few weeks ago. It was a special gift from her new management, TCM, spearheaded by her manager Nicky, to ease her travels for upcountry shows.
“It was gifted to me by the TCM management. My manager Nicky gave it to me for work. It is a car to take me across the country for my music tours. I have my personal cars, including a Mark X and a Toyota Rumion,” Jowy told Galaxy TV.
The accident has sparked chatter on social media, with some questioning the source of the flashy Noah and whether Jowy’s new partnership with TCM means she has ditched Team No Sleep (TNS).
But the singer was quick to shut down the rumors:
“We are still very fine with Jeff Kiwa. I can never leave TNS. What most Ugandans have failed to understand is that an artist can have over five different managers; it’s business. I was in London and learnt all these things,” she clarified.
Since her return from London, Jowy Landa’s brand has been on fire – a bigger working team, more bookings, more music, and more visibility. She hints at even bigger plans for the coming year, promising fans that the best is yet to come.
With this survival, it seems nothing can slow down Jowy Landa’s rise to the top, not even a car crash!
