Fik Gaza has finally opened up about the heavy financial toll he endured after his arrest earlier this year in Katwe.

The “Sanyu” hitmaker, who was granted bail in April 2025, revealed that securing his freedom came at a staggering price; more than Shs 30 million.
“I spent something like Shs 30 million,” Gaza confessed. “I spent Shs 12 million on the first file, another Shs 5 million, the last file was like Shs 8 million and other things.”
The artist, who was charged with robbery, says the financial burden has weighed heavily on him. According to Gaza, he had hoped to bounce back quickly through a concert deal with events promoter Balaam Barugahara, but those plans collapsed.
“I had plans with Balaam to organize a concert before the arrest so I could coup some money, but that didn’t work out,” he shared.
Despite the setback, Gaza insists he’s not giving up. He is now channeling his energy back into music and is determined to rebuild his career from the studio to the stage.
“For now, I’m focusing on releasing new music and then I will organize a show if everything goes as planned,” Gaza assured fans.
