Eddy Kenzo has spoken out about his relationship with Bobi Wine saying there is no animosity between them despite their opposing political affiliations.

Kenzo, who rose to prominence under Bobi Wine’s Firebase Crew in the early stages of his music career, acknowledged the pivotal role Bobi played in his early journey. However, years later, the two artists now find themselves on opposite sides of Uganda’s political landscape.

While Bobi Wine leads the National Unity Platform (NUP) and remains the face of the opposition, Kenzo has aligned himself with Sevo’s ruling Yellow bus. In recent months, the Big Talent Entertainment boss has been actively traversing the country, mobilizing support for Sevo and the NRM ahead of the next general election.

Speaking during a TikTok live session over the weekend, Kenzo maintained that there is no personal feud between him and Bobi Wine. He emphasized that their differences are purely political.

“I know Bobi Wine still loves me,” Kenzo said. The difference is that I support my candidate, President Museveni. Let him leave us alone because we are going to win the election by a big margin, and he will continue living a good life as he always has with his bulletproof car and everything.”

Kenzo went on to advise Bobi Wine to reconsider his presidential ambitions, suggesting that the ruling party’s victory in the upcoming election is inevitable.

“He should focus on other things. This election, we are winning by far,” Kenzo added confidently.

The remarks have sparked fresh debate among fans and political observers, given the two stars’ shared musical heritage and the contrasting paths they have taken. While Bobi Wine has transformed from a pop icon into a leading political figure, Kenzo has chosen to use his platform to rally support for the current government.

Still, Kenzo insists that mutual respect remains intact, a sentiment that echoes his long-held belief in unity despite differing political opinions.
