Eddy Kenzo is gearing up for a legal showdown with events promoter Nobart.

Over the weekend, Nobart grabbed the headlines after dropping jaw-dropping claims that the Sitya Loss hitmaker not only wanted him dead but also had something to do with the tragic death of the late producer Danz Kumapeesa.

For most, it sounded like the kind of wild plot you’d only find in a badly written music biopic but for Kenzo, it was no laughing matter.

The Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) president and presidential advisor on music affairs wasted no time in striking a serious chord, calling the allegations “false and defamatory.”

“He needs to provide court with evidence. It’s good he spoke on record that he talked about people’s lives. This matter has to go further, and he will answer in court,” Kenzo told journalists.

Kenzo, whose career has survived internet trolls, industry politics, and even Grammy-level scrutiny, made it clear that this time he’s not dancing around the issue… he’s lawyering up.

According to the singer, the accusations don’t just smear his name; they also threaten his reputation and relationships in both the entertainment and political arenas. In other words, this isn’t just about pride; it’s about protecting the brand Eddy Kenzo.

Meanwhile, Nobart’s remarks have brewed a storm on social media, with fans split right down the middle. Some are calling for peace talks, others for proof, and a few are just there for the popcorn.
