MUKONO; Police is hunting for a 15-year-old boy who pierced to death a mature man for stoping him from insulting another adult.
Joseph Egenyi was stabbed in the chest for advising the teenager to stop insulting an old man.
The incident happened at the Lwanyonyi trading center in Nama Sub-county, Mukono District, were on Wednesday evening.
The teenager only identified as Innocent was working in a local bar owned by his mother Scovia Aumo, when a heated argument broke out.
The fight was reportedly between his mother Aumo and Okello another bar owner neighboring them at Lwanyonyi trading center over a woofer.
It is alleged that Aumo lent Okello her woofers which he returned damaged, the two broke into a fight promoting Innocent to intervene.
Luke Owoyesigyire, deputy Kampala police spokesperson, quoting detectives report says Innocent joined his mother to abuse Okello.
Egenyi the deceased who was drinking in the same bar tried to stop Innocent from abusing Okello.
“Egenyi blamed Innocent asking why he was abusing Okello who is older than him. Innocent then first withdrew and later came back with a knife and stabbed the deceased on the chest killing him instantly,” Owoyesigyire said.
He says Aumo, Innocent, and Okello are on the run while the deceased’s body had been brought to Mulago mortuary for postmortem.
