Police in Kasangati has in custody a vicious man for reportedly cutting to pieces a 9-year-old girl using a sharp machete before dumping the body parts in a flowing stream of water.
Grace Lubega met her cruel death in the hands of Elia Kamoga, a resident of Nakwere B Zone, in Kasangati town council.
Kamoga attacked Lubega with a sharp machete on Thursday afternoon that he used to chop off her head and hand, before dumping lifeless body in Nakerere stream in Bulindo, Kira Municipality.
Kamoga who hasn’t had a history of violence or misunderstanding with the deceased’s family acted under unclear circumstances.
Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, says Kamoga fled into hiding upon killing the girl but was later found by police in Nakwero.
He says Police was able to retrieve Lubega’s headless body from the same stream that other body parts were dumped.
Police at Kasangati and Kira are currently looking for the head and arm that is suspected to have moved with the running water following a heavy downpour.
