National Unity Platform (NUP) diehards would break a leg just to get a glimpse of their presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.

It was mind-blowing in Mayuge district on Monday when excited NUP  supporters maneuvered through swampy waters just to set their eyes on Bobi wine.

Hundreds of youth who failed to join the procession of Bobi wine because they were blocked by security guys decided to make their way through a swamp to join him.

Men and Women jumped into the swamp, some in their clothes, others half-naked, and got out on the other side dripping but that didn’t stop them from proceeding in that state to see Bobi.

Meanwhile, still in Mayuge district, there was an eruption of teargas at hundreds of Bobi wine supporters who had gathered at different trading centers to witness the arrival of the National Unity Platform-NUP presidential flag bearer, Robert Kyagulanyi.

The crowds formed along the Iganga-Busia and Musita-Lumino highway to receive Kyagulanyi who made many stopovers at the roadside.

Kyagulanyi stopped to greet his supporters in trading centers along Musita, Lugolole, and Mayuge town council as the numbers kept growing.

Police were forced to use teargas at the rowdy supporters for close to 30 minutes before order was restored.

Police then led Kyagulanyi to Mayuge district headquarters grounds where he held his rally addressing thousands on Monday afternoon.

Bobi stood on top of his car while preaching good news to his supporters. He promised to revise sugarcane prices in the Busoga sub-region.
