Just when Ugandans had started organizing their dancing shoes, the ministry of health has reacted to the pleasant news of reopening the concert business with a big NO!
Ministry of Health has set the record straight and dismissed media reports that entertainment centers and concerts have reopened.
It asserts that all bars, night clubs, and discotheques are to remain closed.
In a tweet, this afternoon the Ministry of Health indicates that there has been a misconception of reports that musicians and event organizers can resume business.
The tweet reads

Earlier today , a communication from the National Cultural Forum indicated that effective this Saturday on 19th, December concerts could now take place but under strict conditions.
Sam Okello Kello the chairman board of trustees at the National Cultural Forum announced the pleasant news to journalists at the Uganda Media Center.
He says this was okayed after a series of engagements between stakeholders in the industry, the National Covid-19 taskforce team, and the Ministry of health.
”All event organizers have been advised to go to the National theater where SOP’s have been published or check the UNCC website,” he said.
