Pastor Alex Mukisa of Prayer-force Ministries in Butabala, Kamuli District has been thrown behind bars for stealing property worth millions of shillings from a shrine.
Paul Alilumboyo the owner of the shrine claims Pastor Mukisa sneaked into his place 1 week ago while he was busy engaging Teso spirits and ran off with fetishes, a sacred cash basket with Shs1.6m and 3-meter-long Nytil cloth all valued at 3m.
Alilumboyo says a female client who visited his shrine later told him she had seen the exact same cloth that was stolen at Pastor Mukisa’s church.
Alilumboyo took the matter to Butabala Police Post and the pastor was picked up.

Michael Kasadha, the Busoga North Regional Police Spokesperson says Mukissa confessed to only stealing the fetishes and the 3-meter-long Nytil cloth from the church.
Kasadha says Mukisa explained that he only took the cloth to his church altar to pray against the evil spirits of witchcraft.
‘’When I entered the shrine, I took the bed sheets and ‘gomesis’ to the Church’s Altar, dedicated the fetishes to Holy Spirit to disable their powers and render them impotent and harmless after which I’ll testify to my followers how they are conned by witch-doctors,” he said.
The Pastor has been charged with trespass, theft, and malicious damage to property and will be prosecuted in court once investigations are complete
