Serial Killer Musaasizi Remanded
Court has remanded the serial woman killer Brian Musasizi, 23 to Kitalya government prison until April,12, 2021.
Musasiz a boda rider and 4 others are behind the gruesome murder of 4 women and a toddler.
Appearing before the Mwanga II grade one magistrate, Amon Magezi in Mengo, 2 men Brian Musasizi, 23, and Abdul Kasaija, 23, accused of masterminding the killings were sent on remand.
Serial Killer Musaasizi Remanded
The prosecution states that the two at Mujomba zone in Nakulabye, Rubaga division in Kampala masterminded the gruesome murder of Maclean Ahereza, Elizabeth Mutesi, Noleen Nabirye, Violet Kansiime, and three-month-old Abigail Nakitende.
The 2 have been charged with murder contrary to section 188 and 189 of the Penal Code Act .
Court has denied the accused chance to take a plea since they are facing a capital offense which is only triable by the High Court.
“We don’t have jurisdiction to try such matters but we shall keep mentioning your matter until the case is committed to High Court for trial,” Lumbuye said.
Musaasizi was arrested alongside 4 others last week after CCTV footage pinned them in the murder of 4 women and a child.
Musaasizi, aka Uncle, a resident of Mujomba Zone 6, Nakulabye in the Rubaga Division confessed to how he burnt his victims around Kasubi tombs after bonking and dumping their belongings in a nearby pit latrine.
Among the items police discovered in a pit latrine at his residence include hand bags ,national ID ,shoes among others.
