FDC Trashes Rumours Amuriat Wants To Endorse Tororo North MP

Despite the Forum for Democratic Change-FDC, Ibrahim Semmujju Nganda declaring his bid to stand for speaker of parliament, his party is yet to endorse him.

John Kikonyogo, the deputy party spokesperson says the party will soon hold a meeting with MP elects and a decision on who to support will be made.

Kigonyogo has also trashed reports that the FDC party president Amuriat Oboi doesn’t support Semmujju’s bid for the speakership.

This follows ongoing rumors that Amuriat wants to instead front Tororo North MP-elect Geoffrey Ekanya to stand for the same spot.

Rumors also state that Semmujju has a rocky relationship with Amuriat while he enjoys a cordial relationship with former FDC members and with the Alliance for National Transformation-ANT president  Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu.
