KCCA Councillors to be, have arrived to the swearing in ceremony looking their best and wanting to draw attention to themselves with the most bizarre actions .
The swearing-in ceremony of the Lord Mayor-elect Erias Lukwago and 44 councilors at Kampala Capital City Authority-KCCA has kicked off at the City Hall.

KCCA executive director Dorothy Kisaka is gracing the swearing-in that will see mainly National Unity Platform-NUP and Forum for Democratic Change -FDC members sworn in .
This is the 1st time that no member from either the National Resistance Movement-NRM or the Democratic Party DP will be sworn in today since they lost in the elections.
NUP won 41 out of the 44 seats for the directly elected and woman councilors to KCCA,3 are FDC members.
NUP polled councilors from all the five divisions declared with, 11 positions in Makindye, 9 in Nakawa, 10 in Lubaga, 3 in Kampala central, and 8 in Kawempe Division.

Wasswa Mwanje councilor Makindye East doesn’t have his own car so a friend gave him simple means of transport which was a camel.
Another NUP councillor showed up clad in a red beret while making a statement cuffed in huge chains with a bib reading ‘Museveni Free political prisoners’.
NUP Councillor elect for Kampala Central Moses Kataabu took to the podium to take the oath with both his hands chained .
The Resident City Commissioner Hud Hussein asked him to remove the chains or leave the podium.

The Buganda Road Chief Magistrate Ayo Miriam Okello who is presiding over the ceremony was forced to adjourn the sitting. However, Kataabu remained standing at the podium still chained.

Musiinzyi Mr Mosh Ssendi who won on an NUP ticket also arrived looking sleek in a dark suit along side his Son ,Daughter and agent.

Lukwago FDC who will be running for a 3rd term will now have to work with the majority of the NUP councilors.
Lord mayor-elect Erias Lukwago a member of Forum for Democratic Change -FDC won the recent polls with a big margin against 5 of his rivals.
He arrived along side his wife who wore a stunning blue suit with a round hat while he was clad in a grey suit looking stronger.

Lukwago polled 194,592 votes against his main opponent Nabillah Nagayi Sempala of the National Unity Platform-NUP who came in second place with 60,082 votes, NRM’s Daniel Kazibwe aka Ragadee, polled 23,388 votes, DP’s Charles Senkubuge with 2,355 votes, Independent Joseph Mayanja aka Chameleon with 12,212 votes, independent Innocent Kawooya with 762 votes among others.
