statement on Sc Villa
Following an Extraordinary Club Congress on Saturday at Serena Hotel, Kigo, Sports Club Villa has resolved to undertake elections for Club President and the entire Executive Board by November 13, 2021 in accordance with the Club Statutes approved by FUFA in order to be included in the ongoing Uganda Premier League.
The meeting also resolved that in addition to the provisions of Sports Club Villa Statutes, the eligibility criteria for candidates of the position of Club President of Sports Club Villa will include vetting and approval by the Board of the Registered Trustees of the Villa Members Trust.
Armed with the above Club Congress resolutions, SC Villa has requested FUFA to issue the club with a provisional license for the 2021/22 Uganda Premier League season, after initially failing to make the list of clubs taking part in the league.
FUFA has responded with a conditional and provisional club license subject to the terms in the Club Congress resolutions presented to FUFA. In the event that SC Villa fails to fulfill the resolutions against which the license was issued, FUFA will immediately withdraw the provisional license.
FUFA has henceforth, directed its various bodies concerned with the organisation of FUFA competitions to include Sports Club Villa in all competition fixtures inclusive of those in the 2021/22 Uganda Premier League with immediate effect.
It should be noted that Sports Club Villa Jogoo is an association football club based in Uganda. They are meant to play home games at the Kavumba Recreation Centre in Wakiso District.
statement on Sc Villa
The Jogoos were removed from the initial fixtures due to a number of factors including lack of a Chief Executive Officer and thus, having no proper administration, one of the prerequisites for participating in the Uganda Premier League. The club will now be included in the league’s fixtures and will start their league campaign against 2019 league winners, Vipers.
The Uganda Premier League kicked off two weeks ago.
